When Reading-based waste management company Select Environmental Services needed an additional toploader they were faced with long-lead times if they ordered the vehicle direct from the manufacturers, so they were delighted when Refuse Vehicle Solutions Ltd (RVS) contacted them with the right specification of vehicle available immediately.
Phillip Stone, Managing Director, Select Environmental Services said: “We were looking for a 6×2 twin-lift toploader and we couldn’t justify the time involved in waiting for a new vehicle. Spencer Law from RVS knew what we were looking for and called us to say he had the correct specification of vehicle. I thought ‘now that’s customer service’”
RVS specialises in revitalising used refuse vehicles, stripping them down and replacing or repairing defective parts to provide high quality ‘as new’ vehicles that cost a fraction of the expense of a new vehicle. The company has the engineering capabilities to adapt, modernise or remanufacture any make or model of refuse vehicle to match each client’s individual needs and budget.
The quality used 2007 MAN, Terberg Toploader was given the full RVS Quality Assured treatment with all defects rectified before being repainted and delivered with full MOT, service and LOLER certification.
Phillip continued: “The great thing about RVS is that you can trust them. Their attention to detail is excellent and they are very particular about the vehicles they supply. I’m a perfectionist but they notice things about vehicles that even I don’t. We have been let down in the past with used vehicles but I wouldn’t hesitate to go back to RVS. Their reputation speaks for itself, and in future when we need a new vehicle they will be my first port of call.”
