Sainsbury’s has introduced a new version of pineapples without the crown. The leaves are often discarded by customers, resulting in up to 700 tonnes of food waste annually. Government must do more than ban plastic plates, says NLWA
Single-use items like plastic cutlery, plates and polystyrene trays will be banned in England, the Government has confirmed.
