Minister of State for Northern Ireland visits Kiverco

Steve Baker MP, the Minister of State for Northern Ireland, recently visited Kiverco’s headquarters in Co. Tyrone to learn more about the company’s role in designing, producing, and distributing state-of-the-art waste recycling plants across the globe.

During his visit, Minister Baker was keen to understand Kiverco’s waste-separation technology comprehensively, specifically focusing on the company’s efforts in export markets such as Europe, the Middle East, and Australia.

The Middle East was particularly interesting to the Minister, who was interested in hearing about the company’s recent regional successes. Kiverco’s Export Sales Manager, Gabriel O’Keefe, also an Export Champion for Northern Ireland, is meeting with customers this week at COP28, where a Kiverco recycling plant will process all waste from the event.

Minister Baker was welcomed to Kiverco’s Headquarters in Brocagh, Tyrone, by Kiverco’s Senior Management team, who informed the minister of some of Kiverco’s excellent contributions to the Northern Ireland Economy and showed him some recent Kiverco plants throughout the world. He then enjoyed a factory tour and saw first-hand the production of Kiverco machinery. Minster Baker was particularly interested to hear of some recent installations as far away as Australia.

Managing Director John Irwin commented: “We extend our sincere gratitude to Minister Baker for dedicating time from his hectic schedule to visit our facility. His genuine interest in our operations and commitment to understanding how we contribute to helping companies globally recover value from processed waste in an environmentally responsible manner is greatly appreciated.

“ An increasing number of nations are dedicated to realising a circular economy model, emphasising the need for robust waste-recycling plants to meet these goals.

“We bring substantial value to every waste management company that selects a Kiverco plant, boasting unparalleled tough credentials. We pride ourselves on creating the world’s toughest plant with more uptime, higher sustained purity and a longer useful life than our competitors.”

Minister Baker said: “The UK Government is committed to promoting Northern Ireland’s excellent goods and services worldwide.

“It was great to tour Kiverco and learn about this family-owned business’ expansion to countries including Dubai, Saudi Arabia and Australia, as well as Gabriel’s role as an Export Champion for the Department for Business and Trade and their participation in COP28 in the United Arab Emirates.

“Northern Ireland is home to brilliant businesses, and seeing them enjoying international success is fantastic.”
