A waste removal and skip hire company located in Bridgwater, Somerset, has captured the attention of locals this week with a spooky-looking skip placed outside their offices.
Roberts Waste has been decorating skips for special occasions since 2022, and their recent Halloween edition is being hailed as their best yet.
The design for the skip was created by Hannah, a Haulage Administrator at S Roberts and Son, and then turned into reality by Naked Signs, who created a wrap design for the skip.
The Halloween skip features pun-riddled gravestones, a giant spider made from recycled materials, spooky skeletons, a graphic showing a haunted house, and the message ‘Happy Halloween’. To add to the spooky effect, the Roberts logo has been altered to appear as though it is dripping with blood.
Natasha Butcher, Roberts Office Manager, explained how much fun the team had creating the design and decorating the skip and reminisced on how the team came together to “cheer up a dreary old skip.”
“For us, it’s something a bit different,” she said.
“It’s a lot of hard work and we always say we’re not doing anymore, but we always do.”
In June 2022, the company designed a commemorative skip for Queen Elizabeth II’s platinum jubilee. They have since created designs for King Charles III’s coronation, Easter, and Christmas.
