April’s SkipChick is a family oriented-woman

Hi! Please introduce yourself to our readers.
Rebecca Leigh Addey and I’m 28 years young.

Where do you work, and what do you do day to day?
I work at Cromwell Polythene Ltd in good old Yorkshire as an account manager. I’ve been here now for six years and spend my days speaking with customers and local authorities processing orders and day-to-day management of everything the polythene industry brings.

What do you like about working at Cromwell?
Being part of the ‘Cromwell family’ and obviously our wonderful customers.

You sound pretty happy there. Ever had a weird day at work you’ll never forget?
When a colleague forgot to pack his trousers the day he cycled to work. He had to spend the day walking around in very short shorts and his work shoes!!!

Oh dear, how embarrassing! How do you spend your free time outside of work?
I spend it with my daughter, stepchildren, and fiancé. When the kids are asleep, I like to binge-watch a series on Netflix with a cheeky gin.

What’s the craziest thing you’ve ever done?
To be honest, I’m pretty boring these days, but the craziest thing I’ve done has to be going missing on a girls’ holiday to Lanzarote. One day my friends found me asleep on the beach the morning after a night out.

Too many gins, I guess. Don’t worry we’ve all been there. What’s your idea of a romantic night out and who would be your ideal date?
An Italian meal with a cheeky bottle of red. It’s difficult to choose as I have a few celeb crushes, but I’d pick James Cordon, just something about him that I really fancy!

He gives a great cuddle, well going of his character in Gavin & Stacey. What song sums you up?
Sweet but Psycho, by Ava Max. I like to think I’m a nice person, but I do have a dark side.

Even the most innocent-looking have a dark side, Rebecca. Tell us a fascinating fact about yourself.
I can make a noise with my mouth that sounds like a real dinosaur, I like to scare the kids pretty often, haha!

Love it. I bet watching Jurassic Park with the kids is fun. Sum yourself up in three little words.
Kind, loving and (slightly) crazy.

If you could have a holiday anywhere in the world, where would you go and why? Santorini 110%. I mean what a stunningly beautiful place. It would be so romantic and just glorious. (Currently daydreaming as I type this).

A colleague here at Skip & Waste mag has been, very beautiful, but expensive she says. Get saving Rebecca! Have you ever met anyone famous?
Erm.. Gareth Gates in Coventry City Centre, does he count? I’ve also seen Charity from Emmerdale in Sainsbury’s.

Mr Gates is famous enough to have a net worth of £6.5 million (according to the internet). I wish I had auditioned for Pop Idol now! Talking about millions, if you won the Lottery jackpot, how would you spend your winnings? I’d buy a massive house for my family and my parents and take us all away on holiday.

Very thoughtful. I presume Santorini for the holiday destination? Finally… make us laugh with your best joke.
Knock Knock. Who’s there?
Boo. Boo who?
Don’t cry – it was only a joke!

Boo(m) Boo(m). We have loved having you as our Skip Chick this month – thanks Rebecca.
