£1.5m investment keeps Aldermaston Recycling Ltd on the CASE

BASED in Reading and servicing Berkshire and the surrounding counties, Aldermaston Recycling Ltd is part of the Hutchins Group, a family-owned business that has more than 35 years’ experience in skip hire and waste recycling.

Over the years, the group, which includes some well-known companies such as Ron Smith Recycling, Chiswick Skip Hire and Big Bull Bags, have established advanced recycling standards by adopting the latest technology to ensure that zero waste goes to landfill. Their operations are led by an experienced and professional team who are committed to delivering the highest level of customer service.

“We pride ourselves on providing a professional, fast, efficient service and we have an excellent understanding of our customers’ requirements,” says Ian Hutchins, managing director of the Hutchins Group. “Aldermaston Recycling has a team of experienced advisers who are dedicated to helping you solve all your waste disposal needs, whilst being competitive on price.

“We aim to recycle 100% of waste produced and we are constantly looking at ways of improving, as we believe recycling is the way forward to a green, cleaner environment.”

Aldermaston Recycling’s aim – to reduce the impact on the environment and improve health and safety in the workplace by utilising the latest technology – is evident in their latest investment of over £1.5 million redeveloping their Reading-based transfer station. The new state of the art facility is equipped with a new picking station, trommel, the latest in dust suppression systems and three brand new CASE G-Series Evolution wheel loaders.

Having previously provided the company with nine CASE construction machines including excavators, material handlers and wheel loaders, Abdu Mhani, Warwick Ward’s Sales Manager, commented: “Over the years I have built up a strong and valued relationship with the family, so the decision to continue with CASE was an easy one. Along with the reliability of the CASE machines, they trust that I will continue to provide a personal aftersales service to make sure their fleet provides the full value of service and productivity.”

The new CASE G-Series evolution wheel loaders are champions of productivity thanks to the optimal weight distribution, resulting in a tipping load at the top of each machine’s range, for the maximum productivity. The cooling system’s innovative “cube” design ensures the best cooling efficiency when compared to the conventional overlapping radiators; all the coolers are simultaneously crossed by the same air flow at the same temperature for increased reliability, preventing overheating failures on engine, transmission and hydraulics.

The new range of machines also comes with CASE SiteConnect and SiteWatch™ as standard for three years. This telematics solution is built to gather critical information about the machines’ performance and location, with the data quickly available for site managers to make decisions without being physically present.

Jack Hutchins, General Manager at Aldermaston Recycling Ltd, concluded: “We chose to invest in CASE machinery as they offer much lower carbon emissions, lower fuel consumption with the new stage V engines, and safer operating performance, than anything else we had looked at. Our CASE machines are the perfect tool for the job, ensuring that we are working towards creating a safer, more efficient work environment for our staff and the local community too. We would recommend CASE equipment to all businesses looking for a high-quality machine in our industry.”
