WASTE EXPERTS are transforming from a traditional waste management business into an environmental solutions provider encompassing total waste management, WEEE recycling, IT & asset disposal, compliance services and environmental consultancy. The Waste Experts name was chosen because it represents the very nature of the business. Waste Experts pride themselves on offering customers no nonsense guidance, best in class recycling services and best value compliance support.
As the UK begins to emerge from the pandemic, it felt like the right time to accelerate the launch of the new brand. The Electrical Waste Recycling Group brand has supported us incredibly well for over 21 years, but this evolution demonstrates the passion and commitment to continued growth within the environmental sector.
During the pandemic, Waste Experts remained committed to its development strategy, resulting in a fantastic business performance and a strong year on year growth. The recent acquisition of Lumicom lighting compliance scheme further demonstrates the company’s strong position in the marketplace. The new Waste Experts brand provides an opportunity to simplify a multi-brand structure for improved performance and commercial efficiency. The umbrella will fully integrate all the businesses, Electrical Waste Recycling Group, WERCS Compliance Scheme, Lumicom Compliance Scheme and Confidential Disposal Services, together with any future acquisitions the company may make.
Waste Experts Managing Director, Michael Bishop, said: “The Waste Experts rebrand underlines our company’s ongoing commitment to sustainability and supporting customers in ensuring their working practices are environmentally sustainable, so that they can achieve their own environmental goals.”
The company which has a WEEE recycling facility in Huddersfield and national customer support centre in Durham was founded in 2000 and now employs 62 staff across sales, administration, operations and logistics teams. Waste Experts support clients across several industries such as manufacturing, hospitality, distribution, transport, public services and facilities management, plus work with many well-known and highly respected organisations, including City Electrical Factors (CEF), Her Majesties Prison Service (HMPS), Amey, ISS Facilities Services, Mitie Waste and Environmental Services and CBRE.
Waste Experts Group Manager, Shaun Donaghey said “Circular economy is very high on the agenda, so we must be ready to meet our customers’ future needs and converge our activities to anticipate and support these changes”
