SHE’S the motor-crazy lass who’s always in the dark. Meet Ella Nott of EMS Waste Services.
Tell us a bit about yourself?
I’m Ella Nott, I’m the right side of 40 and I work at EMS Waste Serves.
And what do they have you doing there?
I work in admin helping customers with their skip queries and bookings, plus I’m second in command on the weighbridge.
You’re a busy girl. What do you like about it?
The money… always the money! On a serious note, I enjoy that fact that EMS is a friendly, family-run business and we can all have a laugh whilst getting the job done.
More money for Ella! Ever had a weird day at work?
Having one of the drivers coming in doing charades getting me to guess which skip he has on his truck.
Somebody’s got too much time on his hands! What’s the worst job you’ve had to do?
I can’t really think of anything so in my life I would say going through labour, but the end result is the best thing I have ever created.
Now THAT would have been an interesting game of charades! What about outside of work, where will we find you?
I enjoy spending time with my family, preferably not at the beach in the summer as I end up sitting under the sunshade getting annoyed with the sand getting everywhere. My boys call me a vampire.
We’re sending you on a romantic night out. Who’s your ideal date?
Somewhere on a nice warm evening under the stars – obviously with my husband.
Brad Pitt’s over-rated anyway. What superpower would you love to have?
One of my big hates is house cleaning, so I’d love to have the power to have everything clean and sparkly within seconds, just with the click of my fingers.
Move over Superman and meet Spring Clean Woman! What would be your theme tune?
Bonkers by Dizzee Rascal.
Sounds spot on. Now tell us a fascinating fact about yourself.
One year for my birthday I did a skid car experience. I really enjoyed being able to throw the car about and learning how to control it.
Reckon we all need a good holiday this year. Where would you love to go?
I would love to go to Finnish Lapland to stay in one of those glass-ceilinged igloos with uninterrupted skyward views to see the Northern Lights.
Brrrr! Sounds chilly! How about a nice dinner before you go – who would be your perfect guest?
Tom Hardy. He’s smoking hot.
Best not take him to the frozen igloo then! Who in the world would you say is your hero?
Lady Gaga for her work related to mental health awareness and her non-profit organisation, The Born This Way Foundation, which focuses on empowering youth, improving mental health and preventing bullying.
A true superstar. Let’s give you a mega Lottery win; what’s on the shopping list?
A nice house out in the country with a nice garden and swimming pool, and I would pay someone to keep it clean and tidy for me. For my car it would be an Aston Martin DB9.
Keep the engine running, we’ll be right over. But first, make us laugh.
This gravity joke is getting a bit old, but I fall for it every time.
It’s a cracker! And you’ve been a cracking Skip Chick too. Thanks Ella!
