A JOB vacancy has arisen for an Environment and Compliance Manager to join ASH Waste Service’s head office on the Wrexham Industrial Estate, with the need to visit other sites.
The ASH Group is a family owned business. ASH Waste Services is the leading provider of waste management and resource solutions with bases across the North West and West Midlands.
Reporting to the Directors this role will provide strategic and day-to-day advice, guidance and compliance to the senior and site management teams, completion of reports, ensuring all systems are kept up to date and research, audit and updates on new applications and business ventures. The role will also liaise with Natural Resources Wales, Environment Agency and any other agencies or companies as required.
The successful candidate will hold a degree in environmental management or have equivalent experience, particularly within waste management, and be a member of an appropriate professional body (IEMA, CIWM, IOSH or equivalent). They will also have experience in contaminated land assessments and / or recycled aggregates. The successful candidate will have up to date knowledge of environmental, quality and / or health and safety management systems.

The successful candidate will be able to prioritise workload, work under pressure and identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
