IN the lead up to Christmas, the waste recycler NWH Group, has raised almost £1,300 for its official charity partner Children 1st.
Since renewing the charity partnership in August, staff have been busy with a number of fundraising activities including a Halloween bake sale, the Give the Gift Christmas toy drive – which saw 42 gifts donated to local Children in Edinburgh, Glasgow and Dundee; and Tracey Sneddon, Senior Sales Support Administrator, based at the NWH Group head office, had a her head shaved at the company Christmas party!
Nicola Williams, executive assistant to the CEO, has been leading the recent fundraising activities. She said: “We have been overwhelmed by the support and generosity of our employees.
“As a business, we aim to make a positive difference to the communities in which we operate, and to see everyone coming together in support of Children 1st has really reinforced our mission to make an impact. We really hope this money can be used to make a meaningful difference to some of the children most in need this Christmas.”
Children 1st is Scotland’s national children’s charity, and it exists to prevent abuse and neglect, and to protect children and keep them safe from harm.
NWH Group has been involved in various fundraising activities in the past including the Give the Gift Christmas appeal, Tough Mudder and collecting donations at TruckFest.
