Reconomy, the UK’s leading provider of outsourced waste management and recycling services, has announced the acquisition of Gosport-based waste management company, Nationwide Services Group (NSG) as well as a boutique packaging compliance consultancy.
Following the acquisition of Advanced Waste Solutions (AWS), this was the third acquisition announced by Reconomy in the space of three weeks as part of its ambitious growth plans.
NSG, founded in 1992, has built key relationships in the construction, fit-out, retail and commercial sectors and was one of the first outsourced service companies to offer tool and plant hire via a network of service providers.
This continues Reconomy’s strategic acquisition plan and investment in developing the group for the future, with the aim of strengthening its offer across all key sectors and continuously improving the customer experience. Combined with organic growth, Reconomy’s overall group turnover is now forecast to be in excess of £330m at the end of 2019.
Commenting on the acquisition, chief executive of Reconomy, Paul Cox, said: “We’re delighted to welcome NSG, AWS and our new consultancy business into the Reconomy group. The additional tool and plant hire capability means we can offer an even broader range of products and services to our customers. This promises to be an exciting end to 2019 and, as ever, is testament to the hard work and dedication of the whole Reconomy team”
Paul Smith, managing director of Nationwide Services, said: “We are very excited to be joining the Reconomy group, a move that we believe offers significant opportunities for the future development of NSG, our customers and our people. Our strengths are complimentary, meaning that both companies, as well as our customers, will benefit.”
