THE creators of the PurGo waste management software, VWS Software Solutions, reached a record turnover in the 2018-2019 financial year, equivalent to an increase of over 70% compared to the previous year.
The company, which was set up to create an ERP system to meet the specific needs of waste and recycling operators, has taken on five new staff members in the past six months and has moved to spacious new offices in Liverpool.
As well as creating new employment opportunities the company has also invested time and resources into an apprenticeship programme, which is proving to be very successful. Seven members of staff have been recruited via the programme to date and four of those have already graduated.
Andy Mirecki, managing director at VWS Software Solutions, said: “We’ve grown significantly across all areas over the past 12 months. Turnover, staff levels, office space and new customers have all nearly doubled, plus we have a very healthy number of pending orders that are currently being rolled out.
“We work very closely with all our customers to ensure the system works well for their business. The great thing about PurGo is that it is a modular, scalable solution, which can grow and adapt according to each customer’s changing business needs. It is popular with users because it’s intuitive and user-friendly and manages all waste collection and management processes end to end.”
PurGo was designed and built from the ground up by a team of experienced waste industry professionals. Specific features of the software include Sales CRM, route planning and tracking, live status updates, live exception reporting and a driver-friendly mobile solution with SatNav, GPS tracking, issue management and signature capture. The software also integrates with VWS weighing systems and most other business systems.
