GRUNDON Waste Management, the UK’s largest family owned waste management and environmental services company, has purchased two brand-new waste collection vehicles to boost the fleet at its new Bristol depot, as part of an ongoing efficiency drive.
The vehicles, which are both 26t Mercedes Econic 2630’s have been fitted with Dennis Olympus OL21W bodies and Beta trade bin lifts and were supplied by Refuse Vehicle Solutions Ltd (RVS) via its RediTruck service. RediTruck provides brand new refuse vehicles, built to each customer’s specification, in short-time scales.
John Stephens, General Manager – Logistics, Grundon Waste Management said: “We needed to replace some hired vehicles quickly to make cost efficiencies at our new Bristol depot. RVS were able to supply the correct vehicles, to Grundon specifications and meet our tight timescales, at a competitive price.”
Both vehicles were delivered in under four months, branded in Grundon livery and built to match the company’s standard specifications. The trucks are fitted with six-way recording camera systems and VWS Enviroweigh Trade Approved bin weighing.
John continues: “We’ve worked with RVS for many years, not just for the purchase of vehicles, but also using their expertise in vehicle remanufacturing and servicing. It’s a mutually beneficial relationship for both parties.”
