Innovation is an excellent work to put alongside RWM 2018, as the very best of the best in terms of marketing leading technology will be on display at RWM, either through one of the 350 seminars across the 16 theatres or within the products of the 500 exhibitors.

Innovation will be focused on within the Innovation City, Innovation Trail and Innovation Award features of the event. Innovation City will be a dedicated hub of research and development, fronted and sponsored by Innovate UK.

Innovate UK will be bringing with them eight companies who will champion the amazing funding available, with visitors able to inquire about how R&D funding can be attained. The Innovation Trail will be a guide through the most innovative and game-changing exhibitors throughout the whole event. With each exhibitor boasting the innovation trail logo on their stand, the trail will be simple to follow and will put visitors face to face with some of the waste and recycling industries finest brands.

The Innovation Awards will be there to award the most forward-thinking companies across four categories: SME Innovation Award; Energy From Waste Champion Award; Circular Economy Award; and Product of the Year Award.

In continuing with having innovative products on show for visitors to try and test, UK Plant Operators are bringing with them their groundbreaking machine simulator, all sponsored for by Contract Plant Rental. This will highlight the leading technology with regards to machinery training, and as well as being a fantastic bit of fun on the day, will allow visitors to get hands-on and understand how this can help train safer, more efficient drivers. This is perfect for fleet managers who are looking to expand and grow.

For those who wish to take in the copious amounts of knowledge available away from the hubbub of the exhibition floor, the 16 seminar halls will provide dedicated space away from the crowds in order to really invest time into taking on board as much new knowledge as possible from the amazing speaker line-up.

Each seminar hall will be dedicated to a different topic, with Local Authorities, Packaging, Recycling, Waste Crime, Waste Matters, Energy From Waste, Business Growth, Alternative Fuels, Behaviour Comms, Innovation, Circular Economy and Keynote being the 16 topics in questions.

There are some of the most influential professionals leading seminars across the weekend, including Oliver Rosevear of Costa Coffee, Sir John Armitt from the National Infrastructure Committee, a panel session featuring Ian Wakelin of Biffa, and David Palmer-Jones of Suez sharing the stage for a unique and one-time-only event before Ian Wakelin steps down as CEO of the waste giants.

RWM will be boasting global brands within the exhibiting halls as well, with names such as JCB, Mercedes Benz, Toyota Material Handling, Veolia, Viridor, Northern Gas & Power, Bunting Magnetics, MidUK Reycling, Department of International Trade, Costa Coffee and many more. These brands will be bringing with them either incredible solution-led products and services or the opportunity to help guide visitors through new processes or possible ideas to implement within their own businesses.
