From recent start-up companies, to the waste and recycling industry’s heavy-hitters – WASTE’17 at Manchester United’s Old Trafford was a big success, and a lot of fun for exhibitors and visitors.
Over 50 companies flocked from all over the UK to either network; soak up the highly electric atmosphere; or listen to expert solicitor and fire specialist advice;. There was some who showed off who had the best and biggest kit, at one of the biggest footballing venues in the world.
A brilliant day out
With 441 people pre-registered for the event, 628 people turning up on the day, and a rise of 23.8% visitors compared to last year, Skip Hire Magazine’s annual event on June 8 featured an exciting indoor exhibition and outdoor display.
The outdoor exhibition played host to BLUE Group and their colossus and rip-roaring convoy of Fuchs and Doppstadt machinery. It also featured the earth-moving engines of Warwick Ward, and the sublimely sleek and internationally-renowned Iveco, to name a few!
The visitor-favouring seminar presented by Iveco’s Martin Flach was a particular highlight of the show, which provided spectators with Martin’s calculated plan to provide an alternative, greener fuel to diesel.
Another highlight included the vast display of impressive exhibitor stands including Smurfit Kappa, Bunting Magnetics Europe Ltd, and Stobart Biomass Products – with well over half of all exhibitors stating they have gained valuable new leads.
Our best ever event: at Old Trafford
WASTE’17 was without a doubt our best show yet, and we’re working hard to analyse feedback from our exhibitors on how we improve in order to make WASTE’18 our greatest show ever!
All advice will be taken on board by event organisers, as the show is developed further.
Finally, our team would like to thank everyone in attendance – it was a fantastic experience and we’re already looking forward to making next year’s event the waste industry’s go-to event of the year.
