Northern Recycling Solutions announced it has won a four-year, six figure contract to provide waste management services to NHS Highland.
“We are delighted to have won this prestigious contract,” said Managing Director Ewan Calder. “This is a fantastic reflection on our team, and their commitment to high quality customer service.
“We have invested significantly in plant and equipment and in our fleet. It is rewarding to see our hard work and investment being recognised.”
Under the terms of the contract, Ross and Cromarty based Northern Recycling Solutions will provide waste management and recycling services to NHS premises across the Highlands.
Katie Mount, Commercial Director, who founded the business with her brother Ewan ten years ago, anticipates that additional staff will be recruited.
She added: “We have already employed five more staff in the last 12 months, and will be looking to take on a further four in the coming months.”
In addition to ISO9001 and ISO14001, the business recently achieved OHSAS 18001 accreditation for health and safety. NRS currently employs 25 staff who look after customers across the Inverness, Highland, Aberdeen and Dundee areas.
Established by Ewan Calder and his sister Katie (Calder) Mount in 2006, Northern Recycling Services is located north of Inverness, and provides waste management, recycling, confidential waste, and consultancy services.
Five years ago, Northern Recycling Services commissioned a new, purpose-built recycling facility in Alness, relocating there in 2012.
