Trundling the tough terrains of the latest craze to hit the UK, Eugene Donnelly, Managing Director of Blue Machinery London, took up the Tough Mudder challenge with his two daughters, Sarah and Mary Claire to raise money for victims of the Nepal earthquake.
The trio endured 12 miles of army-style contours, including ice pools of below zero temperatures, mud baths, steep inclines, tear gas, electric shocks and climbing frames at the event in Henley-on-Thames.
The group completed the course in three hours and raised over £1,000. Eugene said, “After seeing the devastation caused by the earthquake in Nepal, we felt, as a family that we wanted to raise some money to help those effected, plus we really like a challenge. It was tough going, but worth it in the end with all the money we raised. I’d like to thank everyone who sponsored us and helped us achieve this total.”
