Blue Machinery Scotland has delivered a Powerscreen 1000 Maxtrak mobile cone crusher to long-standing customer Aberdeen Crushing and Screening. This new high-capacity processor joins a modern fleet of mobile machines which forms the backbone of the contract business Aberdeen Crushing and Screening has developed over the years.
Aberdeen Crushing and Screening is part of the multi-discipline organization, Aberdeen Trailers Limited, based in Fyrie, Turriff, in Aberdeenshire. This independent, family owned company was formed in 1982 by owner Bill Miazek and currently offers a broad range of products and services throughout the region. Initially, the business was focused on commercial and domestic trailer manufacture, hire and repairs.
Recognising clear openings in the market, Mr Miazek expanded and diversified his company over the years to include muckshifting, construction plant and equipment hire, quarried and recycled aggregates for civil engineering projects, a fleet of tippers and, through Aberdeen Crushing and Screening, a well-established contract service for this particular sector.
The latest addition to the Aberdeen Crushing and Screening fleet continues the company’s principle of ensuring that plant and equipment in the fleet is modern, highly productive and very reliable…key attributes Bill Miazek is keen to emphasis, “Being in the market for a cone crusher, we looked long and hard at what was available and came to the conclusion that you can’t touch the Powerscreen 1000 Maxtrak for both reliability and productivity.”
He continues, “The fuel efficiency provided by the machine’s direct drive was also a great benefit and we were also impressed with Blue Machinery’s knowledge and experience and the fact that they have an excellent reputation for after sales product support, with first class spares availability and a very mobile team of highly qualified field service engineers.”
The Powerscreen 1000 Maxtrak features the well-proven and renowned 1000 Automax cone crusher technology at the core. With potential outputs of up to 230 tonnes per hour, depending on the material being processed, the crusher maintains excellent and consistent product shape with a high reduction ratio and has been specifically developed for the larger end user. Economical to operate, with a highly fuel efficient direct drive system, power is provided by the Tier 4i/Stage 3B & Tier 4F/Stage 4 Scania DC9 83A diesel engine which develops 257kW.
