The voice of the skip hire, recycling and waste industries in the UK & Ireland.

KKB Group Chose an Anaconda!

Kent based KKB Group specialise in providing practical solutions for the development of brownfield sites that increases the value and environmental performance of the regeneration process. From surveying to land remediation, waste recycling, plant hire and aggregate production, KKB Group have been providing a range of niche services to the UK market for more than 10 years.

Last month, KKB Group took delivery of an Anaconda DF410 scalping screen, which they bought from RK6 back in March. RK6 were appointed the exclusive Anaconda distributor for the South of the UK late last year and have quickly established a real presence in the South East. Deciding on which product to choose and from which supplier was a decision KKB Group didn’t take lightly as they wanted to make sure the screen chosen was not only compact and easy to move around, but it had to be able to handle difficult applications and perform at a rate to get jobs done as quickly and economically as possible. Craig Hore from KKB Group confirmed exactly what they were after:

“We decided that the company needed to invest in a compact type scalping screen to minimise the footprint it needed on site as more and more sites are space restrictive. We still needed a robust screen which was easy to move from site to site and could get through a pile of material quickly and cost effectively. Having looked at what was on offer, we were most impressed by the look and performance of the Anaconda screen so that’s what we went with. “

Anaconda Equipment is based in Northern Ireland and, although reasonably new to the London area, have been exporting equipment since 2005. Anaconda offers their equipment around the globe via a distributor network who in turn provide sales and service backup in their local region/country. Anaconda crushers, screens and stockpilers can be found working in many regions including New Zealand, Australia, Asia, across Europe and in the USA. Whilst initially focusing on the compact screening market, Anaconda has now moved into more mainstream products and last year launched their first jaw crusher.

Commenting on the most recent purchase by KKB Group, Paul Donnelly from RK6 concluded:

“The DF410 tracked screener is the first screener Anaconda made and is today still the most popular. The screenbox is the largest screenbox in the compact class and the rate of production is key to the success of this screen. We are very grateful to KKB Group for choosing RK6 on this occasion and we hope that we can develop a long and mutually beneficial relationship for the future.”

The DF410 is a tough, versatile tracked screener offering 3-way screening and stockpiling of a wide range of materials including demolition waste, crushed rock, sand & gravel, topsoil, compost, woodchip and coal. Features of the machine include a heavy duty feeder complete with impact bed, heavy duty belt, drop down end plate for direct feed from crushers, and variable speed belt control. The screenbox offers a range of screening media including woven mesh, punch plate, bofor decks or finger screen option. Fitted with either a Deutz or JCB engine the screen can produce up to 250 tph depending on conditions.
