WAMITAB are offering a unique opportunity to employers, assessors and verifiers to become involved in the review of units from the Operator Competence Scheme at two development workshops in July.
As you will be aware, in the early part of 2015 we held an extensive consultation to seek industry views on the validity, currency and accessibility of the standards which form the basis of the Risk Tier Table and Operator Competence Scheme. The response to this consultation highlighted the need for less repetition, greater clarity and a focus on ensuring that standards are up to date with industry best practice and guidance.
Since the consultation, we have been reviewing and improving the language of these Level 4 units to make them more accessible and less repetitive. Now we are seeking views from users about the revised standards, and expert guidance on the technical content. We are holding two separate workshop events in July, with the opportunity to view and shape the units and qualifications which will replace the existing Risk Tier Table units from 1st January 2016.
The events will be held at the Sunley Management Centre, University of Northampton, Park Campus. There are spaces for 12 individuals on each date, and attendance will be booked on a first-come, first-served basis – with bookings being taken until 5th June 2015. You will receive an event confirmation when you have been allocated a place.
Assessors and verifiers attending will be able to book the time as part of their annual CPD.
