New Skip Loaders Proving Popular in UK

Skip hire company Mainsway is reaping the benefits of its latest investment, two Cayvol skip loaders provided by Atlas Cranes.

Mainsway skip hire and haulage company, which has a waste transfer station in Huyton, Merseyside, has bought the MCBT-6E skip loaders from Atlas Cranes which is in a new partnership with Spanish-based Cayvol.

Atlas Cranes UK joined forces with Cayvol twelve months ago to create the Atlas by Cayvol range, a selection of skip and hook loaders which are new to the UK market.

The Mainsway skip loaders have been fitted to two 7.5 tonne DAF trucks and are already proving a hit with the company.

John Barker, sales manager for Mainsway, said: “It’s a great set of lifting gear. You can just position the wagon to do the exchange. You don’t need to pull the vehicle away so you save a lot of time.

“The drivers using the two wagons fitted with this equipment reckon it’s a lot quicker to exchange skips now which will be great for the business.”

Dek Butler, National Sales Manager for Bradford-based Atlas Cranes said the range of Cayvol equipment they are selling is proving to be a hit with many new customers around the UK.

“We are thrilled with the way the equipment is selling. It is first-class equipment and that, combined with Atlas’s reputation for customer service and attention to detail, is proving to be a winning combination.”

A glitch in the ordering of the two skip loaders for Mainsway meant the original equipment that was requested and supplied was not what the company actually needed. In response to this Atlas

allowed Mainsway to use the equipment while their new order was modified.

“We want to make sure our customers get exactly what they need so even though the mistake wasn’t at our end, we were happy to work with Mainsway to ensure their business could continue to operate while the changes were made to the order. It is this level of service that we think sets up apart from other equipment providers,” added Dek.

Atlas Cranes has a full range of Cayvol equipment in stock in the UK and offers a four to six week lead time. The company also offers stock vehicles of hookloaders and skiploaders to meet the demands of businesses that are too busy to wait for a vehicle to be built. Atlas can also cater for bespoke vehicles and has 25 mobile engineers on the road carrying out service and maintenance.
