Blue Machinery Scotland proudly reports that the 1000th piece of equipment sold by the company has gone to their long-standing customer, Central Demolition of Bonnybridge, Stirlingshire. In what can only be described as a delightful coincidence, Central Demolition was the very first customer of Blue Machinery Scotland, purchasing a Powerscreen Powergrid 17 years ago! The latest addition to Central’s large, modern fleet of demolition, recycling and materials handling equipment follows in the footsteps of the original 1998 purchase, being another Powerscreen machine, this time a Premiertrak 400 mobile jaw crusher.
Central Demolition is a multi-disciplined organisation, specialising in demolition and dismantling, licensed asbestos removal, earthmoving, site clearance, plant and tipper hire and recycling. Formed in 1993, Central Demolition has evolved to become a leading national organisation in its specialist fields, with broad expertise in all its activities. The company reckons that it is reclaiming at least 90%-95% from the thousands of tonnes of crushed demolition waste, inert materials, soils and skip waste fines at its Bonnybridge recycling station. Incoming raw waste materials for recycling and washing are brought in from Central’s own demolition and site clearance contracts as well as other sources throughout Scotland and North East England.
Central Demolition has always placed great emphasis on investing in the best possible plant and equipment for its various operations and has enjoyed a long and fruitful relationship with Blue Machinery Scotland and sister company Blue Fuchs when it comes to sourcing recycling plants and materials handling equipment. The latest investment, the Premiertrak 400 pre-screen jaw crusher, is a compact yet powerful and productive machine incorporating a fully independent, high amplitude, hydraulically driven pre-screen with increased drop angle on the bottom deck to facilitate maximum throughput and capacity. Improved pre-screened material flow is achieved by an enlarged discharge opening from the under chute which allows faster movement of pre-screened material to bypass the crushing chamber.
On delivery of this 1000th machine, Blue Machinery invited Central Demolition’s Managing Director, Ross Craig to join them to celebrate this milestone. Mr. Craig said “Both businesses have developed and grown over the years and we have built up an excellent working relationship with Blue Machinery Scotland during this time which has benefitted both parties.”
